Discover how to use colored clay on the potter's wheel in this NYC pottery class!

2 hours Class size 1 to 10     label $96

Create a colorful hand-thrown creation in this beginner's pottery class in Hell's Kitchen. If you're curious about pottery making and want a crash course on the basics, give this NYC class a go!

This is a chance for complete beginners to try their hand at the clay wheel and experience Agateware or Marbling on the wheel, a gorgeous technique resulting in swirled different-colored clay.

Over two hours, you will be shown the basics via a short demonstration of how to make a small vessel on the pottery wheel. Then, you'll be guided along as you try it yourself. The twist? The clay you use will be colorful and unique! The result will be a stunning combination of marbled streaks that are totally random.

Class time includes intros, demonstrations, working time, and clean-up time for the last fifteen minutes. Come sink your hands into some clay and make a piece of glazed pottery that you'll be sure to treasure!
