We had a fabulous time trying to make cologne. We had teenage boys who are into men’s cologne so this was fun chemistry in action. Great day!

Was a very fun experience! The shop has so many interesting fragrances and it was organized in a way that kept it from being too overwhelming. Our instructor was helpful but also gave us space to explore. The wine was a nice touch for sure.

This workshop included theory on perfume-making and a review of 50 perfume oils derived from natural sources. We were given a perfume bottle to fill with a combination of perfume oil drops after selecting a combination of oils. BIOS also provides flower petals and gemstones to add to the perfume bottle for decoration.

Had a great time for our team bonding activity! Hostess made it fun and educational. Everyone loved their perfumes.

Michelle was really attentive and detailed. She answered all the questions I had in a knowledgeable way and made me feel welcomed. The venue was equipped with all the materials we could possibly need for our class and spacious enough for students to work. All the materials that were provided were adequate for the task at hand. There were even ingredients that are usually hard to find that I was quite happy to work with. The class was a very valuable experience and I learnt to make natural perfumes.

Nancy was a patient and fun teacher - we learned a lot about how scents were crafted and my friends and I loved the fragrances we made :)

We attended a DIY perfume making class this week with a group of my colleagues for a small holiday gathering. We had a fantastic time - our teacher Michelle was knowledgable, helpful and flexible. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend!

It was such an awesome experience, I had so much fun with my friends and I’m obsessed with the perfume I made! The teacher is really great too, she’s super informative and really helpful and very welcoming! I definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. After smelling my perfume, my husband wants to go and make his own!

Michelle provided a wonderful experience for our corporate event that took place onsite after-hours. Communication leading up to the event was seamless and she led with a great deal of attention and care when discussing our interest and needs. All that attended have been raving about how much they truly enjoyed their experience. We're looking forward to working with Michelle and Bios in the future!

Context: workshop gifted to me by my partner because she knows I like to swing by cologne counters and check out offerings. Andbest gift EVER!
Workshop:
Michelle lead our workshop with much info, ease and aplomb! She started out with a few slides with information on perfume structure and scent categorization then quickly pivoted to passing around and smelling scent samples from their collection. We smelled a dizzying number of scents (I had to re-up on the mimosa 1/2 way through) as Michelle explained how each was derived/extracted; its characteristics and behavior in relation to other scents; and common pairings/combinations. If we liked the scent we dipped our tester strip into the sample and kept it at our workstation.
The next step was to use our sample strips to come up with a combination we liked and create our own perfume. I appreciated her encouragement for creativity and intuition on our part during this process as much as she was willing to make suggestions when asked to do so by one of my fellow workshop mates.
My group was small (7 total), diverse, friendly and engaged; overall, a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere that Saturday morning. Our workshop leader, Michelle, provided tons of information but avoided lecturing, listened intently to and provided answers to questions throughout the workshop. I had a great time immersed in smelling and designing. It reminded me of wine tasting where you set aside time to compare and explore with one of your senses--but here you walk away with your own creation! If you're at all curious or interested in scents, perfumes, colognes, I highly recommend this workshop.

Phenomenal class! I took my 14 year old goddaughter, 16 year old daughter her friend. In two hours we got an in-depth lesson on how to structure a perfume. We were able to sample more than 50 different unique natural essential oils and then craft our own signature scent in a pretty bottle that we even customized further with dried flowers and gemstones. It was such fun - it even included snacks and wine! Highly recommended!
