Hi, my name is Sander Raav and I am the owner of Seattle Bartending Company.
My career in the food and beverage industry began at the age of 19 in Estonia and after years of employment in high-end restaurants I traveled and spent years living and working in several countries and continents which landed me in Seattle in 2010.
Since then, I have held positions as a bartender, bar manager, brand ambassador, treasurer for the Seattle chapter of United States Bartenders Guild and have created and organized several events, fundraisers, cocktail classes, presentations etc..
My cocktail competition resume includes over a dozen wins and placements in the top 3 of national and local competitions. Thanks to my extensive competition and cocktail knowledge I have later been asked to judge several of these competitions.
In 2020 I established Shake, Stir & Savor and have been regularly offering live and virtual cocktail classes since. In 2021 I re-opened Seattle Bartending Company which offers Cocktail Workshops and Classes among other services.
I have always been passionate about bartending and connecting with people from all walks of life and making friends for life.
One of my favorite aspects of bartending is to geek out with my guests about flavors, spirits, ingredients and sharing experiences in the world of flavors and cocktails.
In my classes I focus on teaching how to think like bartenders and chefs do while making the concepts simple, easy to grasp and replicable.
