If you want unique handmade goods, learn how to make your own in this pottery wheel throwing class in NYC! In this ceramics workshop, you will learn how to make crackle pottery.
First, you will enjoy a short demonstration of how to make a cup or bowl shape on the pottery wheel. Then, you'll sink your hands into some clay and try it yourself with guidance from an expert. You'll be able to try and try again until you get a piece that you love.
The crackle effect comes in the glazing process, and your instructor will finish the piece off for you after class. This class includes one fired piece per person that you will be able to pick up in one week, with a beautiful antique crackle glaze applied.
Please note: Crackle pottery is decorative and should not be used for food or drink containers.
