He has worked in different countries and states with diverse climates such as Arid and Semi-Arid, Tropical, Cold, and Mediterranean climates. He has also taught people with diverse socio-cultural backgrounds ranging from beginners to graduate students in several subjects. For instance, in the United States, He has been in Idaho, Utah, and California.

Dr. Nochian enjoys teaching people to help them have a sustainable outdoor and indoor landscape/garden with great aesthetic and functional values. Dr. Ashkan’s class was informative. I’ve taken a few of his classes on Bento and really appreciated how he took simple topics and was able to dive into further detail and how he made complex topics like soil chemistry and water conservation techniques, simpler to understand. I’d recommend this class if you’re interested in learning how to plan, understand or execute landscape with water conservation in mind.

An excellent and informative class. It is a must for anyone with a garden or landscape area because it helps you save water with basic principles. After the class, I realized how much water I wasted. I always thought water-wise gardening or Xeriscaping techniques are hard to apply, and only experts can do that, but after Dr. Nochian’s online class, I found there are many easy and applicable ways we can save water. Since freshwater is a serious problem worldwide, I highly recommend taking this class. While you enjoy and learn practical information, you will save money on your water bill. Thank you, Ashkan!
