What you'll do
Learn the basics of embroidery in this gentle, three-hour online embroidery workshop featuring the Orcas in the Sound Embroidery Kit. In this class, you will learn how to stitch a beginner landscape based on the majestic creatures who frequent Puget Sound.
You will learn how to transfer a pattern, four useful stitches (plus a few extra if we have time), and how to finish the project in the hoop. Your embroidery kit will come with all of the essential materials to craft your embroidered landscape. You will likely get about half of your project done in class, but you will leave with all the skills to finish your project on your own time.
Stitches you will learn:
- Straight Stitch
- Satin Stitch
- Split Stitch
- Seed Stitch
If you're looking for fun hobbies to try at home or relaxing virtual team building workshops, this class will allow you to unwind and create a serene landscape by hand!

What you'll get in your craft kit
Your class kit will include everything you need for the workshop. This includes linen fabric, needle, embroidery floss, detailed instructions, quality beechwood embroidery hoop, water soluble transfer pen, felt for finishing and backing, and a project bag to hold it all. (There may also be a few goodies in your class kit!)
What you'll need
You'll need a sunny window (or lightbox) for transferring your pattern, good lighting for stitching, and that's it!
