Home Cooking New York was founded in May 2002 by founder Jennifer Clair. After years of writing cookbooks, recipes, and food editorials, the opportunity to come together with eager culinary students in a kitchen classroom seemed like the next logical step. Back then, Jennifer was the sole chef-instructor, teaching nightly private cooking classes in students’ home kitchens all over New York City. Over the last 17 years, the company has grown to include five outstanding chef-instructors!

We have our own cooking school in Manhatten, SoHo where we love to share our passion for good food with fellow home cooks! Or, our amazing chefs can come to your home to help you cook up a wonderful feast. You can also find our incredible classes in a virtual experience.

We had a blast doing this for a team event!
The chefs were professional and fun, the venue was pretty and well equipped for the activity, and the food we made was delicious!
We loved being able to participate in an interactive activity and then have a delicious meal together afterwards.

I booked this event as a team building event for our group. Our teacher Erica was patient and knowledgeable, she shared many great cooking tips. The location was good, everything was clean and well organized. Our team really enjoyed themselves and we all enjoyed what we cooked. This was a great experience and i highly recommend it.

Erica taught us how to sauté garlic and chilli flakes together to create a nice aroma and taste for the shrimp to dive into and well-served on crostini.
