Want to learn how to make unique pottery? Learn how to make horsehair pottery in this ceramics workshop in NYC. Horsehair pottery is a traditional southwestern art form with an exciting process and mesmerizing results!

In this two-part pottery class, you will learn the basics via a short demonstration of how to make a bottle form using two pinch pots. Then, a week later after your work is fired, you'll learn how to perform traditional horsehair pottery.

Horsehair pottery is a dramatic process where organic items such as horsehair, sugar, and feathers are applied to a super hot piece of pottery. You will follow safety precautions in this exciting class.

With horsehair pottery, you will create a stunning display piece with somewhat random patterns. After the piece cools, you can coat it with a dishwasher-safe sealant and take it home. This class includes one fired piece per person.
