Whether it's the great flavor it gives our food or the beautiful look of the grill marks that it leaves, there's no denying that the grill is one of the best tools we have for cooking! In this class, you will learn the secrets to becoming a grill master in your own right!

Chef Olive Said is your teacher for this grill-centric cooking lesson. You will explore choosing the proper tools, how to oil a grill, what to do to prevent meats and fish from sticking, the difference between gas and charcoal, indirect vs. direct grilling, marinades and rubs, wood and herb smoking, and of course, how to get great-looking grill marks on your food.

Please Note
  • All in-person classes will be limited to a maximum of 12 students.
  • Masks must be worn at all times, except while eating at the table.
  • Proof of vaccination will be required and reviewed by the chef prior to entry into the kitchen.
  • COVID protocols are subject to change to reflect local and state mandates.
  • A snack will be served at the beginning of class and you will be eating the dishes you make at the end of class. Unfortunately, our zoning permit does not allow us to have students take food home.
  • If you think you might be allergic to anything on the menu, please get in touch prior to your class.

All of the ingredients and use of kitchen tools to make your recipes.
 
What to bring
  • Close-toed shoes are mandatory. High heels, open toed shoes, sandals, flip flops are not allowed in the kitchen.
  • Shoulder-length hair or longer needs to be worn back and away from your face; we have plenty of hair ties in the kitchen for you to use and keep.
  • Feel free to bring a favorite apron or a knife you want to practice with but know that we will supply aprons and all the tools you need for use during class.
  • We whole-heartedly invite class participants (who are 21 and older) to bring any wine or beer they would like to enjoy during class for personal consumption.

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday, bachelorette party or bachelor party.
