Refine your artistic skills in a figure drawing class in NYC. In this workshop, you will focus on how to draw figures in a composition.
After this class, you will be able to draw multiple figures interacting with each other in various poses on the same pictorial plane with some simplified methods for approaching basic perspectives in depicting backgrounds.
This class includes a mix of 30-second gestural drawings, 60-second, 5-minute, and 10-minute poses followed by a final 20-minute pose. The class has one model who will be nude during each pose. All phones will be collected at the start of the class and available during breaks.
Instruction topics: A lecture on how to depict multiple figures interacting in an environment using basic rules and characteristics of perspective. Visual materials will include diagrams of one-point and two-point perspective rules. The demo will include simplified approaches to drawing figures in perspective with their surroundings.
Knowledge required
Intermediate drawing skills and comfortable drawing figures.
