In this painting for beginners class, you will get step-by-step instructions from an experienced artist with Valley Painting Parties. Teams can work on A Piece of a Whole project that lets each student work on their own canvas while contributing to a larger group canvas. Just like putting together a puzzle, everyone plays a part in the larger scheme.

Stacey Houghton is an accomplished artist and instructor. She discovered art at a young age and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cogswell Polytechnic College and a Masters of Fine Arts at Rochester Institute of Technology. She went on to build a successful career as a professional artist working in many different facets of art, including graphic design, screen printing, and art instruction.

Although Stacey has spent decades working in various mediums, painting has always been her preferred method for self-expression. Stacey founded Valley Painting Parties to share her passion with the community and provide a place where people of all ages and abilities can discover the joy and overwhelming feeling of success from painting. Her passion for expert instruction coupled with her desire to create, makes Stacey an exceptional instructor and mentor.

Stacey pulls artistic inspiration from the beauty inherent in everyday life. She is a wife, mother of two, and volunteers her time as an art docent for local schools. Her personal works of art have been featured in gallery showings throughout California.
