Everything broken is new again when it comes to the Japanese art of kintsugi and in this virtual experience, you can learn how to make mending beautiful.

Your guide is Alexandra Kitty, award-winning author of The Art of Kintsugi. In this beginner’s class, you will learn how to repair broken vases, plates, bowls, and statues by fusing broken ceramics with gold.

You will also learn about the philosophy and the process in this step-by-step online class. You will repair and fuse a broken object of your choice and make it an artistic expression of rebirth.

At the end of your time, you'll learn new skills have a whole new appreciation for this one-of-a-kind ancient art.

This class is ideal for corporate events and team exercises. If you are an art therapist looking for instruction, please let me know in advance. Feel free to book a private date as well.

Alexandra Kitty is an artist and author of nineteen books, including the award-winning The Art of Kintsugi: Learning the Japanese craft of beautiful repair.

She taught Language Studies at Mohawk College, writing at the Sheridan Institute, Metalwork Arts at Niagara College and Kintsugi and Lampworking at the Dundas Valley School of Art.
She has her certificate for Higher Teaching and Learning from Harvard with a 99.1% final mark, and has taken short courses in Art History from Oxford University.

She also loves to create art! Her specialities including Kintsugi, alcohol inks, encaustics, metalworking, and jewelry-making.
