Learn to chop, dice, and mince your way to making a classic mirepoix. Mirepoix is a combination of finely chopped celery, carrots, and onions, which makes a wonderful aromatic foundation for many dishes.

In this online cooking class, you will learn useful knife skills, pick and chop fresh herbs, sauté and season like a professional chef. In the second hour, you will learn how to put your mirepoix to use. You will learn how to prepare two spectacular dishes (of your choosing, from a varied menu) that will impress your guests, again and again. Your instructor and chef Carolyn will help you through this entire session.
