Enjoy a pottery class where crafters and foodies unite! In this ceramics class in Lynnwood, you will learn how to make handbuilt platters decorated with botanical imprints and experience a special cooking demo!
Pottery by Eleni teamed up with Ashley Rodriguez, author of Rooted Kitchen, to curate a very special clay and culinary experience celebrating summer's bounty! This is a pottery class for beginners, allowing you to explore the art form in a relaxing environment, connect with others, and take home new craft and cooking skills!
Your class begins with a welcome prosecco cocktail served in cups from the studio's Signature Collection and delicious appetizers made by Ashley herself! Next, we will dive into a cooking demo where Ashley will show us unique ways to use herbs and flowers from the garden in culinary delights!
The pottery portion of the day will be up next where we will forge our very own herbs and flowers to roll into ceramic platters to create whimsical impressions. You can sip their drinks, relax, and get creative while receiving hands-on instruction from Eleni and a helper.
After the class concludes, pieces will be fired and finished up at our studio and available to be picked up or shipped directly to your home. This is a unique creative experience that will leave you feeling relaxed, rewarded, and inspired! Bring some friends along for a special evening or meet new ones in this supportive environment.

Your teacher

Hello there! I'm Helena Duffy, and I'm here to share my lifelong love affair with ceramics with you. As a ceramics teacher and professional ceramic artist, I've dedicated my life to the pursuit of artistry and creativity. For me, ceramics isn't just a hobby or a profession—it's a sanctuary, a place where I find peace and tranquility amidst the chaos of the world. There's something incredibly soothing about working with clay, about feeling its cool, malleable texture beneath my fingertips and knowing that with just a few simple motions, I can bring something beautiful and meaningful into existence.
What draws me to ceramics, more than anything else, is its deep connection to nature and its ancient origins. There's a primal, almost elemental quality to working with clay that speaks to me on a profound level. Every piece I create is infused with this connection, this reverence for the natural world and the countless generations of artists who have come before me. It's a reminder that, no matter how advanced our technology becomes, there's still something deeply human about the act of creation, something timeless and eternal.
But perhaps what I love most about ceramics is the opportunity it provides me to share my passion with others. Through my luxury experiences, I strive to make the art of pottery accessible to everyone, regardless of their skill level or background. There's nothing quite like the joy of seeing someone's face light up when they realize that they're capable of creating something beautiful with their own two hands. And what better way to unwind and connect with others than over a glass of prosecco and the earthy scent of clay? So come join me, and let's embark on this journey together.
