What you'll do
Create groovy pottery and learn a new skill in this wheel throwing class in NYC! In this workshop, you will learn pottery basics to create a wheel thrown piece and then learn how to decorate the surface with marbled colors!
If you're curious about pottery making and want a crash course, give this NYC class a go! It's a chance for complete beginners to try their hand at wheel throwing. No experience is necessary.
In this pottery class, you will be shown the basics via a short demonstration of how to make a cup or bowl shape on the pottery wheel. Then, you'll be guided along as you try it yourself. You'll be able to try multiple times until you get a piece that you would like to have fired. This piece can then be drip-marbled with over 21 colors!
Please note: this marbling is done with slip, white clay is used, this is not a neriage class.
Class time includes clean up, and your one fired piece can be picked up in one week!

What to bring
Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy and tie your hair back. We suggest trimming your nails before the session and removing jewelry from your hands and wrists.
