What you'll do

Healing comes in many forms, in this jewelry-making workshop on Vashon, you can explore making your own heritage object dedicated to getting better. Broken heart, sprained ankle, dinged ego, carve your ring with a reason: you’re back and fiercer than before.

During this two-hour immersive workshop, artist and metalsmith Cat McCadden will focus on the physical, emotional, and regenerative aspects of working with your hands. You will learn wax ring carving to craft a gorgeous handmade gemstone ring that will be cast in metal.

We wish to create a loving environment that fosters commitment for all your senses. Together with the group, you will spend focused time carving with the intention of creating beautiful fine gemstone jewelry–that’s all you.

This jewelry-making class is a great way to add some mindfulness and creativity to your life to improve your mental well-being. Get together with some friends or join solo for a restorative craft day creating handmade jewelry that inspires you!

Experience hands-on fine jewelry creation with me, Cat McCadden. We have the workshop and kit for you, whether an artisan crafter or a first-time DIY wax carver. All of your wax materials will arrive at your door; then, log in to your on-demand virtual class to begin shaping and sculpting a ring that’s 100% handmade by you. Your wax carving kit includes casting your ring in solid 925 Sterling Silver with the option to cast in yellow gold, rose gold, or platinum.
