I grew up in a family that buzzed with creativity—makers, fabricators, musicians, textile artists, illustrators, ceramics enthusiasts, tinkerers, and fixers. The phrase “What if…” or “Let’s see…” was a constant refrain, sparking endless ideas, projects, and lively discussions across every household in my extended family. I liked being right in the middle of it.
By fifth grade, I had written and illustrated two storybooks, painted murals on the classroom wall, and convinced my teacher to let me take over a block of class time to produce a play I’d written, cast, directed, and produced. There’s always been a story waiting to be told. And that’s where you come in.
“Your creative voice is your unique fingerprint. It is yours and yours alone.” (Your Brain on Art: How the Arts Transform Us by Susan Magsamen and Ira H. Cohen)
Creative expression isn’t just about making art—it’s a way to reflect, connect, and deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Plus, it releases dopamine, so it’s just plain fun!
As an artist and a learning and development professional, I have designed curriculum for a range of domains and taught art classes at corporate retreats, City of Tracy Parks & Recreation, Kalaa Art & Design, Pleasanton Art & Poetry Festival, Muse Online Festival, and more.
In my workshops, I help you explore your favorite subjects and turn them into captivating works of art. We balance playfulness, real art techniques, and focus to reveal art that is uniquely yours. Whether you’re a total beginner, a little curious, eager to share your story, or an experienced artist open to trying something new, there’s always a seat for you at the table. Let's create something amazing together!
