Syed Ali Raza

Syed Ali Raza Usama is a multi award winning Television and Film director, being an industry professional for over 25 years. He started out as an Assistant director he later became a director for television and film, his love for the camera and the artful magic it can create, inspired Ali Raza towards cinematography. This led him to hone his skills with the camera starting with a simple Canon 5D DSLR camera with video capabilities to eventually work his way to the ARRI, RED and Blackmagic and other pro film cameras. He has worked professionally as a Cinematographer for almost a decade on major international television shows and feature lengths.

Five years ago, his passion turned towards Photograhy, teaching filmmaking, Cinematography and Production Design at Pakistan's leading Business and Media School and University. Since moving to the US, he has worked for the Filmmaker’s Academy creating a course called “Why Producing 101” featuring Jamee Ranata one Hollywood's leading Music Video producers, and works closely with Shane Hurlbut ASC.
