Terrart was born in Caracas, Venezuela, an idea developed during the mid-1980s. It was initially a small family-run business giving family and friends a unique present. Then it expanded to become a new concept of interior design inspired by nature: mini gardens in bottles.
Charly Uzcategui is an Engineer specialized in Geosciences who grew up surrounded by plants and natural environments. His drive and passion for terrariums and plants come from his parents who have been creating these beautiful and sustainable arrangements for more than 30 years.
Charly decided to bring his family heritage and expertise to New York City by combining his engineering drive with his love for plants, resulting in this marvelous project called Terrart NYC.
As an alternative to conventional gardens, for people seeking to stay connected to mother nature through these mini-worlds.

We booked this class for a bridal shower for a small party. It was our first time doing a terrarium class and we would do it again! It was such a fun class.
Charly was so hospitable and fun. He was very informative and patient with guiding us throughout the whole class. We produced such nice terrariums with his help. He was prepared and gave us everything we need and more for the class.
I 10/10 recommend this class for private groups.

We went to Terrart NYC for my sister’s birthday and we had an amazing time! It exceeded all of our expectations. You really get to bond with your family, friends or partner while also building something that will last for years. Charly was an amazing instructor, super fun and very knowledgeable. He really takes the time to explain every step and answer all your questions! I haven’t stopped talking about it and recommending it to all my friends. It’s truly a unique experience and a hidden gem.

Wonderful experience for making custom terrariums. Great for dates or groups with friends. Plenty of room to have your own creative vision, but the team also helps guide you with suggestions. Very accommodating, lots of options to customize your terrarium to your own liking. You don't feel rushed and you feel welcome here. Highly recommend.

We did a private workshop for a teambuilding activity and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Charley is passionate and knowledgeable about plants and terrariums, and so naturally conveys that in his facilitation. He is a true teacher and artist! My team had a blast creating their own unique masterpieces and we'll 100% be working with Charley again!

This workshop was amazing. Our teacher was super friendly and knowledgeable of the course. You can tell he loves what he does and the experience is totally worth it. I highly recommend anyone to try it out, it's a fun and relaxing experience!

We absolutely loved working with Charly. He was kind, engaging, and helpful. The class materials were easy to manage and Charly walked us through every step. We received detailed instructions for how to continue caring for our terrariums and it might even be the first time I keep a plant alive!
