What you'll do
If you're interested in learning how to paint, this beginner's course in Manhattan, will start you off on the right track. With customized guidance from an instructor, you can develop your skills in figurative, landscape, and other representational depictions of form through experimentation with washes, masking, and many other painterly effects.
Working from celebrated 20th-century masterpieces, you will develop the confidence to approach your own compositions. This course will focus on the highly approachable medium of acrylic paint, and will teach you ways to mimic light and shadow in an image and to cast painterly spells in abstract color and shape.
This class is for all levels, so whether you're just getting started or you need a refresher, you can receive personalized instruction to help improve your skill! By the end of class you will have a collection of artwork representative of your hard work, and the skills to keep pursuing your passion.
