What you'll do
The tradition of afternoon tea is loved in Western culture, in this tea-tasting experience in the Seattle area, you can learn how it all started! In this class, you will learn about the early European and British tea trade with the Chinese while we taste examples of teas reminiscent of the early trade.
The English are known for their love of tea, and now you can find out why they hold tea so dear to their hearts. This tasting will surely upgrade your afternoon tea with a guided lesson from a tea expert. You'll also have the opportunity to taste a variety of different flavors and tea types.

As founder and owner of Experience Tea, it has been my privilege, mission and passion to introduce the incredible spectrum of teas, as well as history and cultures of tea through my Tea Discovery Classes. I love working with all ages and have a variety of classes to appeal to almost all interests. My core class, Tea Discovery introduces "true tea" and helps people taste good quality white, green, oolong, black and pu'erh teas.
Love chocolate? There's a class for you to pair tea and chocolates. Want to learn more about matcha? There's a class to discover different grades of matcha and taste green teas from various countries. There are many more classes and all have been developed to excite and delight.
