What you'll do
Develop your skills to make a better pour-over at home in this pour-over coffee workshop in San Marcos! You'll receive unique tips and brewing techniques to recreate a high-quality coffee. Nobody should experience the struggle of making a great cup of coffee as you experienced it in a shop.
We will introduce the principles behind coffee brewing: ratios, grind, water, filtration, and pouring. We will first taste three different ratios and two different grind sizes to illustrate the theory behind them.
After some solid foundations, let's make some coffee. We will learn how to adapt your recipes and pouring patterns based on the coffee you are using and your preference.
Not only will you leave with the knowledge of how to make pour-over coffee, but also a sense of accomplishment at learning a new skill! This is a great activity if you're looking for fun things to do with friends or colleagues.
We will be using a cone-shaped followed by a flat-bottom dripper.

Coffee flows in my blood since my childhood in Paris, France. From the café on the terraces to a warm cup of Turkish coffee at home, it was always a connecting moment between people and culture.
After my engineering degree, months of travel at coffee origins, and years of coffee education in London, UK, I launched Memli Coffee Lab to propose an innovative approach to coffee roasting with a focus on sensory experience, transparency, and education.
Looking back, coffee has always been in my life. As we say in French, it's my "madeleine de Proust" and my glimmer of hope at the same time. I hope you can catch me one day and share ideas around a cup of coffee
