Judy Fleming is an Associate Marriage + Family Therapist (AMFT) and Ceramic Artist. She started her business “Ground Ceramics” in Oakland in 2012. In addition, she works in the East Bay as a Mental Health Therapist specializing in her work with youth and families.

She offers private sessions, attends occasional local markets, and makes custom work.

She enjoys creating pieces that help ground and connect us to ourselves, each other, plants, and foods. There is intention put into each unique piece.

Judy welcomes participants from all ages, genders, orientations, ethnicities, and abilities. She is trained in working with trauma and the nervous system. She highly values ritual and ceremony.

Judy was an excellent instructor. She provided a welcoming space which was perfect for our group. She explained just how to handle the clay, then demoed the finer points of hand building as well as wheel throwing. She was ready to help at any point we felt we needed a bit of extra instruction. This was a private party for myself with my 3 grand daughters. I couldn’t have been more pleased with items that each of us created in just under two hours. I highly recommend the experience for anyone who would like to explore their creative side.

Absolutely amazing experience with Judy today. We booked a private class for 3 ppl and it was just a relaxing and therapeutic experience. Judy is very talented and knowledgeable.
