What you'll do
Love the look of knitted blankets but not sure how you can make one for yourself?
Learn how to make a cozy crocheted blanket using your fingers to make the loops. No crochet experience required!
Knit and crochet instructor Cara Corey will teach you how to make a single crochet stitch using a soft, chunky merino wool yarn. Each stitch is around 2 inches tall, so your blanket works up quickly compared to regular crochet.
In class, you will be able to make a small blanket, approximately 24x30 inches - a lap blanket or baby blanket size. You will also learn how to source materials, alter the size and shape of your blanket, and care for the wool. Once you get the technique down, you can adapt the pattern to make bigger blankets.
Choose from six colors of wool that come in your crochet started kit. Your teacher will walk you through each step so even beginners will feel at ease learning this new craft. When your time is done, you'll have a cute and cozy blanket to enjoy!
Please note:
To ensure that your kit materials arrive on time, we ask that you book at least 2 weeks in advance. If you have a small group or only want the undyed wool, you can enquire about shortening the lead time.
