Claude Monet was a pioneer of the French impressionist movement and was known for his poetic paintings capturing scenes in nature. In this class, you'll learn more about this artistic movement and learn how to paint an original artwork of your own.
This class begins with an introductory art history lesson on Monet. You'll learn the story behind some of Monet's famous paintings, and get a better understanding of the artist. Then you will tap into this master's mind to create paintings of your favorite nature scenes. Your instructor will teach you impressionist techniques to create a beautiful painting inspired by those of Monet. You'll learn how to portray light and color through energetic and perfunctory brushstrokes.
