What you'll do
Want to learn a new hobby where you can really make your mark? This online class will teach you to do just that by using pyrography!
Your teacher with Adults & Crafts will show you how to burn designs directly into a natural tree slice with a wood burning tool. You will get everything you need for this project in a DIY kit, including a piece of practice wood to finetune your designs. Each kit comes with paints and a gloss finish so you can really jazz up your piece.
This technique creates a rustic, yet elegant craft to add to your home decor or to gift to friends. Get your crafty friends together over Zoom to learn something new together or plan a fun remote team building experience. This is a fun activity you can do at home.
At the end of your time, you'll have a unique piece of art that you've created in just a short time.

- Everyone should print out their own design in advance (kit does NOT include designs). Good examples include animals, nature scenes, sports logos, & geographical outlines. 7x5” is a good size for the wood slice design and 3.5" for the wood coasters. We can also include the same design in everyone's kit (i.e. company logo) if provided in advance.

To improve the experience, it would have been great to have a little bit more guidance in advance about what makes a good design for a beginner (e.g. it is easier to start with a design that has more striaght lines than curvy lines), or even if there were a half-dozen designs to pick from.
