Mark-Making Art Workshop

If you love the idea of slowing down and finding inspiration in the city, this art class is perfect for you. We will walk, explore, and reflect during this creative experience in the park.

Socrates Sculpture Park is an inspiring place, bringing art and nature together while supporting artists in the production and presentation of public art. We will use this fabulous park to inspire our creative expression.

Each person will find pieces that call to them and use colors and mark-making to respond and reflect. This is a low-pressure, intuitive, and nourishing workshop that will help you slow down and be present.

Bring friends or have a quiet day on your own learning a bit about art and yourself!

Ticket Price Note: As with all of our events, we offer a tiered pricing model as part of our effort to be equitable in our offerings. The top two tiers represent the ability to pay a little extra, supporting folks who need to choose the low-cost tier. If you have expendable income after paying your monthly bills, please consider the higher rate to help others participate in our work.

This class is suitable for anyone aged 16+.

In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be canceled. Participants will be welcome to a full refund or may use their registration for another workshop in the future.

No experience is necessary.
  All art materials are provided.
  You are welcome to bring a journal. Wear weather-appropriate comfortable clothes. Bring water and something to sit on if you'd like.
