What you'll do
If your go-to tea order is a matcha or you're curious to learn more about some of the most popular tea types in East Asia, this green tea tasting in Issaquah is for you! In this tea tasting, you will explore the world of green teas from China, Japan, and Korea.
This class begins with tasting three grades of Japanese Matcha and exploring the taste and use for each grade. Matcha is actually a ground tea leaf so you drink the whole leaf versus steeping the leaves and discarding. We’ll then move on to taste five-leaf-style teas—all with very different notes. You’ll learn the process that keeps green tea, well, green! We taste up to eight teas in this class.
If you're looking for a relaxing experience, a tea tasting will delight your senses in a calm environment. You'll take home new knowledge about green tea and experience flavors and tea varieties you likely would've never discovered on your own!

Your teacher can travel to your venue in the Seattle area. For these mobile workshops, she can accommodate group sizes with a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 100 people.
