MIG Welding Class for Beginners

Learn how to weld in this workshop for total beginners in Seattle!

2.5 hours Class size 3 to 10     label $250

If you're a noob to welding, this MIG welding class in Seattle is the perfect place to start your journey. MIG is the easiest welding process, and your instructor set you on the right path to using tools, safety practices, and more!

This class is perfect for beginners but is also a great resource for all levels of welders. You can start from scratch or brush up on your basics with personalized guidance and all the tools you'll need!

At the start of class, you will learn welding safety, which is all good news. You will then identify and discuss different types of equipment and how they are used. This knowledge will put you on the right track for the rest of class and your welding journey.

You will be making high-strength welds in this hands-on class. You will spend the bulk of the class welding 16 gauge hot rolled mild steel using gas-shielded Mig, also known as GMAW. Thinner material is generally more challenging to weld than thicker materials. You will also learn how to inspect and test welds for quality visually, and physically.

There will be a variety of machines available to try and your instructor will also discuss other types of welding like TIG and Stick. This will help you increase your familiarity with welding and can even set you up to explore a new hobby.

By the end of this class, you will understand the process, all the safety concerns, and you will have a basic but useful grasp of MIG welding. You will also have a better understanding of welding safety than many professional welders do.
