What you'll do

If you're looking for fun craft ideas to do at home, join this online needle-felting workshop! With a DIY kit shipped to you, you'll be able to create a custom slice of pie covered in your favorite toppings for a totally unique slice.

Total beginner to felting? No problem! This project is easy for beginners and your instructor will guide you through every step. Your teacher will also provide short video tutorials that you can refer to after class if you want to do the project again at your own pace.

In this virtual class, you'll learn all about needle felting including, what types of fibers work best, selecting appropriate felting needles for your projects, and the next steps to continue your felting adventure after the class ends. You'll finish with your very own needle felted pizza slice!

Since 2004, I have taught about 85 handcraft classes a year. I love teaching people felting, and not just because the world needs more wool gnomes.

My felting classes provide me with a way to put you in touch with your playful, generous self. As Fred Moten says: "The only way to protect joy is by practicing it."

I have taught felting workshops at colleges, art studios, and fiber festivals all over the world—from a small village in the mountains of Japan to New York City.

As an artist I also work in felt - I'm best known for my highly detailed grocery store food products rendered in felt.

PenFelt Studio exists to create crafting bliss through felting projects - in-person, online, and through the kits available on my website.
