Relax with a creative new hobby in this online needle felting workshop.
In this introductory class, your instructor, Jennifer will walk you through basic needle felting techniques. You'll learn how to needle felt a two-dimensional flower!

The goal of this class is for you to become comfortable using the materials to create a simple wool image on a flat surface. Perhaps you have a wool sweater in need of decorating or you want to embellish a scarf? Maybe you want to make a handmade wool card? This fun new skill will allow you to incorporate a creative touch into your life!

Using wool roving, a needle felting needle, and the wool felt, scarf, sweater, or blanket of your choice; Jennifer will guide you on how to grow a flower where there once was none. While this class is intended for beginners, folks who enjoy the craft of needle felting already can join in as well!

What to bring
  • Felting surface (examples include: felting foam, large sponge, bag of rice)
  • Needle felting needles
  • 1-3oz of carded wool roving (multiple colors not necessary but encouraged)
Your teacher

Jennifer Howard has been both making art and educating children for over three decades. An accredited Montessori educator and acclaimed director of an early childhood education center in her home state of Maine, Jennifer began Acorns and Inchworms to share her love of felt art through the skillset of teaching.
