Whether you're looking to find a painting community or want to learn the basics of oil painting, this painting class in Portland is fun, beginner-friendly, and educational.
Drop-in painting classes are designed to be a low-pressure way to meet other painters, experiment with new painting mediums, get one-on-one guidance, tips, and feedback, and have fun! Beginning and experienced painters are welcome!
Each night has a specific theme, with a new display of flowers, objects, or models to paint from each week, but students are welcome to bring in objects, projects, and ideas of their own as well! Rather than a structured lesson, think of these nights more as an outlet for your creative voice, with an experienced painter nearby to offer advice as needed, whether it's mixing just the right color, figuring out proportions, or getting paint stains out of clothes!
These classes are ideal for:
Painters of any experience level who are looking to connect with other artists and to spend more time painting! Maybe you've been meaning to set aside some time to exercise your creative self but it just hasn't happened yet, and you need a motivational nudge.
