Your teacher

Hi there! I am Justin Chevalier, a self taught painter/illustrator and instructor based here in New York City. I started learning to paint at a very young age as a way to capture the beauty in my life. That process has led to creation of my business, Chevalier Art Co., which is all about visualizing the beauty that surrounds us - the people in our communities, the plants and nature we grow with, our dreams and inspiration, the marvels of our human capabilities.

I have so enjoyed being present in my artistic journey to see something that started as a hobby and a challenge develop into a variety of commissions - for the Broadway community, for Live Nation, for Netflix, hand painted red carpet looks, personalized commissions. Furthermore, the most lovely addition to my journey has been teaching others how to paint.

For the past seven years, I have led hundreds of students in the classic Paint & Sip classes, and let me tell you, it's so much fun! I love that two things can happen at once, 1) you can learn a new skill or continue developing and 2) you can enjoy yourself while doing it!

I'm here to share my style and help you enjoy yourself while developing your painting skills! Let's grow!
