You'll begin with the basics of soup-making, like how to plan ahead of time and how to preserve, freeze, and reheat soup. Chef Elham will teach you how to make a hearty chicken tortilla soup full of vegetables and a warming corn chowder with bacon. Finally, a simple but fulfilling sweet potato bisque will delight your taste buds.
Soup Menu:
- Chicken Tortilla Soup with tomatoes, black beans, tortilla chips, avocado, and cilantro
- Corn Chowder with bacon, cream, potatoes and white cheddar cheese
- Sweet Potato Bisque with cream and chicken stock
You will also learn how to create variations to fit your preferences. By the end of class, you'll have three new soup recipes in your menu arsenal and the confidence to make them with ease in your kitchen!
