Welcome summer by creating a festive summer flower garland, in this virtual floristry class. In this class, you will learn how flowers have been strung in ceremonies throughout history and across cultures and then create your own celebratory garland.

In this online floristry class, you will use fresh and dried flowers and herbs to string together your own garland. Your kit will include all the hard materials required to produce a beautiful garland. You must gather all of the flower and herbs you'd like to show off in your garland. You can source your flowers from your own home garden or the grocery store. You can even create a flower-filled day out of it, and embark on a treasure hunt at your local floristry shop or garden! Your instructor will then meet you online and show you how to assemble your chosen flowers and herbs. You'll learn basic floristry techniques to help with your handmade flower arrangement. Your instructor will also demonstrate multiple ways to hang your garland or even wear it!

This is a useful skill if you are looking for unique DIY decor ideas for special events or weddings or if you just want to bring some gorgeous florals into your home. Try this virtual class as a team-building activity, a bachelorette party idea, or even for a fun craft night with friends.

I’m Jasmine, I run KoKeDaMa Flora in a studio space full of plants and flowers surrounding one large work table, gather round and let me tell you all about them. I allowed my passion for plant and flowers to become my life work in the spring of 2017. A life until then that was full of art making in Westchester County, playing in NYC, exploring the coasts and shallows of Cape Cod and Savannah, Ga. Join me in exploring the benefits of working with plants and flowers. Whether building terrariums or designing bouquets I will guide you in every step. Learn where plants are from and how they’ve coexisted and contributed to cultures and cures throughout our histories on this planet, our earth. Honor the seasons and your own curiosity and let’s create art with plants and flowers.
