If you love sushi, then this is the cooking class for you! Join this beginners workshop and learn how to make perfect rolls with expert guidance in San Jose.

In this guided sushi-making class, you will learn how to craft your own nigiri and sushi rolls with passionate teacher, Chef Elham. Using fresh seafood, you will experiment with flavor and tantalize your tastebuds. Not a seafood fan? Vegetarian options are also available upon request.

You will learn how to perfectly season sushi rice to make some of the most popular rolls, like CA Roll and Spicy Tuna. You will also learn how to make nigiri. Learn all about essential ingredients and where to buy them so you can keep making sushi at home.

All skill levels are welcome.

Each person will get to make one CA roll, 2-3 pieces of nigiri, spicy tuna roll, and will get to sample dragon roll.

What to bring

Aprons will be provided. Students are welcome to bring their own beverages, including beer, wine, or saki.

We booked Chef Elham’s sushi class to celebrate a birthday and had an excellent time. Initially our group was a little reserved at the start, but Chef Elham made us feel super comfortable in no time. All of the ingredients were prepared ahead of time and she made the experience of making sushi not intimidating at all. Additionally, everyone in our group was stuffed by the amount of food we made and ate. I would recommend this class for any group of friends and look forward to taking other classes by Chef Elham in the future!

My family really enjoyed our sushi making class with Chef Elham. This was our first experience with a cooking class and making sushi. Her choices of ingredients were perfect for us. She was well prepared. She was patient and easy going. Her directions were clear and we learned many new cooking skills. We all feel that we can make sushi on our own now.
We will book another class with her in the near future. .

Chef Elham and her team were great! My team enjoyed making the sushi rolls and nigiris. The set up was very clean and organized and the ingredients were all fresh. The nigiris and sushi rolls were delicious. Love how easy it was to work with Chef Elham. She was very responsive and was able to accommodate with some of our team members dietary restrictions.
