You will learn how to use fondant, buttercream, and more to create this trending cake design! Your instructors will guide you through perfectly laying fondant to get a smooth and professional look. Then learn how to pipe with buttercream to make the details pop right off the cake! Don’t worry if you’re a beginner, you’ll receive all of the materials, tools, and support you need to feel confident in class.
You’ll take home your cake ready to show your friends and family all of your hard work! This fun and creative workshop will treat you to new skills and maybe even a new hobby.

What to bring
Our classes are hands-on, interactive experiences. So, please dress accordingly. We recommend wearing casual clothing that you won’t mind getting a little sugar on, and flat comfortable shoes. Open toed shoes and sandals are not recommended as this is a safety concern when working within a kitchen. Long hair should be tied back.

N.Y. Cake & Baking Distributor first opened its doors known as the Chocolate Gallery more than 25 years ago. It was founded by Joan Mansour - renowned cake decorator and winner of the gold medal award from the Societe Culinaire Philantropique.
She not only was awarded national teacher of the year, regional teacher of the year, and award for most students taught, she was also inducted into the Wilton Hall of Fame.
Joan opened up a school of cake decorating where she taught some of the most renowned cake decorators today in Manhattan.
