Ceramic Mug Workshop

Hand build and glaze your own clay mug in this Oakland pottery workshop.



2.5 hours Class size 1 to 25 (public classes), 2 to 20 label $90

If you've always wanted to try out a pottery class, this is the perfect place to start.
In this fun workshop, you will learn how to hand-build your mug from scratch!

Instructor Antonia will teach you the skills to create your own pieces by using clay slabs and sculpting tools. No previous skills are required!

You'll create a customized mug with tools and underglazes to give it the exact look you want. This is an ideal creative activity to do with friends or for team building if you're looking for a unique experience in the Bay Area.

Please note: Participants will be able to pick up their work 2- 3 weeks after the workshop date. Your instructor will bisque and glaze fire your mugs.

** Class will be held outdoors unless stated otherwise by host.

Antonia is a Chilean interdisciplinary artist. She focuses her work on story telling and the healing nature of art. Antonia was born in Santiago, Chile and immigrated with her family to Mobile, Alabama at the age of two. She moved back to the motherland as a teenager and lived in Vina del Mar, Chile until she graduated as a designer. From 2017-2021, she worked as a design educator in Providence, Rhode Island throughout middle schools and high schools from the Providence Public School District. She continued her work as an educator in Oakland, California, until May of 2023.
Antonia connects her work to healing due to the value that it has brought into her life. She sees exploring mediums and dedicating time into her crafts as a spaces where curiosity and play are welcome. She currently shares her knowledge with others through workshops, throughout the Bay Area as well as virtually.
