What you'll do

Turn a lump of clay into functional wear in this ceramics handbuilding class in Brooklyn! This beginner-friendly class is great for anyone who has an interest in learning about pottery and ceramics and wants to explore the creative possibilities of handbuilding with clay.

You will be provided with all the supplies and tools necessary to create your own unique piece of ceramic art. Within this workshop, we will focus on fundamental techniques, such as forming, joining, shaping, and glazing.

I am Seda, founder of Little Hand Brooklyn and Mud On My Hand

I have been teaching kids and adults in different schools, groups and studios since 2018.

LHB focus on children’s art. Sometimes we learn about famous artists sometimes learn about nature through clay. The kids will form the clay to create 3D pieces allowing them to express their creativity and imagination.

MOMH works with adults. During the workshops we will learn basic hand building techniques to make pieces such as mugs, plates, planters, jewelry etc.

The classes take place at different locations in NYC. You can create your own group and schedule.

We had such a lovely time with Seda! She explained the basics + techniques very clearly and provided great help during the workshop. What I loved most is that we had total freedom to make whatever we could think of! If we got stuck or were unsure, Seda was very helpful to get us back on track.
