Hello cocktail enthusiasts! My name is Chris Serrano, I've been in the craft cocktail industry for 14 years now, working at some very upscale craft bars and restaurants.

Learning at Chianina Steakhouse starting in 2011 (Zagat rated #4 Steakhouse in the country 2015), under the tutelage of Brad Fry, United States chosen mixologist for World Class 2010 (the world's prestigious bar competition, one person per country per year is chosen to compete by the judges). Having been so many places between then and now, most recently Bar Manager at Nostalgia Bar and Lounge in Santa Monica, where I trained staff, made menu, and ran the bar program to a Timeout Magazine ranked 3rd Best New Cocktail Bar in all of LA County after only 8 months of being open. This is where I learned my true love of not only making drinks, but teaching people along the way!

My goal with these classes is to share with you the science behind why cocktails come out and taste the way they do. A few hours with me and you'll understand drinks better than 95% of bartenders in your city, and will forever want to host parties to show off!

This cocktail making class was such a blast! From start to finish, Chris was detailed, and his passion for well-made cocktails shined through. He took the time to teach us about cocktails, what makes up a cocktail, and how to craft our own drinks! Chris is extremely personable and he created a welcoming atmosphere for groups of individuals to come together and have fun learning something new! I feel confident in my new skills and can't wait to share what I've learned with my friends! Cheers

This cocktail making class was incredible! Chris is a great teacher and is very knowledgable of what goes into making a truly delicious cocktail. We learned so much and had a great time. This class truly exceeded our expectations and now we can't wait for the next time we host to show off our new skills!

Very satisfying class! This was my 3rd cocktail class from various teachers. The previous two were similar; following recipes and making standard drinks. What made Chris' class different was the amount of tribal knowledge he shared (be sure to take notes!), the quality and quantity of take-home materials, and the high level of confidence I have that I can replicate at home what we did in class. This is exactly what I was hoping to get out of the class by not just going with the cheapest class option. Chris was very personable and fun to interact with. He is clearly very knowledgeable and the techniques he shared from personal experience rather than "by the book" made all the difference. I learned the "why", not just the "how". I would recommend this class to anyone not just looking for a one-off activity, but actually looking to learn and apply the skills taught

I cannot recommend Chris's cocktail class enough! He came to my home to put on a class as part of a birthday celebration for my fiancé. He brought all the tools, alcohol, different syrups and even a list of cocktail recipes for future use. The way he organized the class was perfect. His explanations and demonstrations made it so easy to follow along. Not only was Chris very good at explaining the different drinks and how to change them to create something new, but the drinks were delicious! You can really tell how well he knows his stuff and how much he enjoys it. If you have a celebration coming up, or even if you just want to learn more about cocktail making, Chris is your guy!

Incredibly fun hands on learning experience - highly recommend
We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary by doing a private cocktail making class with Chris and our 6 friends and we couldn’t have asked for a more incredible and special night.
We spent the first part of the class learning the science and history of cocktail through fun and interactive discussions/tasting. We then spent the second part of the class applying our newly learned science to making different cocktails and how slight variations in 1 can create a whole new drink - and they looked and tasted soooo good.
Chris is an incredibly fun and skilled teacher and we will definitely be back for the more advanced class.

Fantastic class! I learned about some different cocktails and the history behind them. The best part was the hands on portion where we got to make and enjoy our own drinks. So worth the cost because I can now make some specialty drinks on my own and impress my family and friends.
