Elevate your breakfast routine by learning how to make fresh pastries, in this French baking class in NYC. In this hands-on pastry-making class, you will learn how to make croissants!

The croissant is a beloved classic and French favorite. Warm out of the oven, this pastry is best when flaky on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside, as it seems to melt in your mouth. You will prepare traditional croissants, pains au chocolate, and savory ham and cheese croissants in this 3 hour session.

Do not fear, if you have never tried pastry-making before, this baking class is for all levels of bakers. Your class is led by a professional pastry chef, who will guide you through each recipe and answer any questions along the way so you can bake with confidence and ease.

Whether you're hoping to dabble in pastry making, are looking for croissant recipes to try, or need a fun way to unwind with friends, this baking class is the perfect immersive and exciting activity for your weekend! You'll leave with freshly made croissants that look like they belong in a bakery window and the skills and knowledge to recreate these mouth-watering pastries again at home!

Please Note

  • This class is open to kids 14-17 for a discounted price of $70. A paying adult must be present. Please contact if you would like to purchase a child's ticket.
  • Once a booking is confirmed, you cannot add additional guests to your booking.

Kitchen will be open 10 minutes before listed class time. Class will start promptly at listed time.

IMPORTANT: In order to ensure a great experience for all, participants who arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled class time will not be permitted to join the class and will forfeit the class. No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.

This was such a great way to spend a Saturday night out in the city. My friend was visiting from out of town and we both loved this one-of-a-kind experience you can honestly get here in New York. My daughter and I loved the class. We took home 8 delicious croissants: 2 classic, 4 chocolate, and 2 ham and cheese. My husband said it was the best he has ever tasted other than in France. The teacher was great! Chef Jen gave very clear instructions and her personality made it fun too. She also gave great tips of where to buy ingredients and what to look out for. We left with recipes so we can make them at home as well.

This class was terrific. The venue was a professional setting, the teacher was extremely thorough and clear, the staff were all helpful and pleasant, and the end results were so delicious. The class gave me a real appreciation of the complexity involved with making authentic croissants. I think this class provided real value and was appropriately priced. The instructions by the chef were clear and easy to follow, layered in with some humor which I appreciate.

For the price we paid per person, I was surprised when me and my partner had to share the dough with two other people. That diluted the whole experience exponentially because I didn’t learn some of the techniques as we take turns working on the dough. It felt like being forced into a group project with strangers when we thought we were paying for individual experiences.

The croissants we made looked and smelt incredible. However, the dough (which was made by another class for time saving purposes) had a strong yeast taste and this was more pronounced in the classic butter croissant.

The instructor Makenna was knowledgeable and always on track. All the materials were provided.

The class is long and at the end all the work you out it will only make you appreciate croissants as an art form even more.

Love love loved this class! Our teacher (Christopher) was funny, kind, and SO incredibly hands-on and helpful with his instructions. We did a private class since we had a larger group (8 people), and everyone in our group raved about how much fun they had.
