Macarons may look like a work of art, but they are easy enough to make in your own kitchen! In this Chicago pastry-making class, you will learn how to make macarons in a fun and hands-on environment!
Don your chef aprons, grab your whisks, and let's get baking! In this interactive class, you will learn the fine art of making these mouthwatering morsels!
Together with our classically trained Pastry Chef Instructor, we will demystify the making of these highly sought-after meringue-based sandwich cookies. Our Pastry Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating the process of meringue mixing, otherwise known as 'macaronage', piping, baking, assembling, and of course, eating!
We will also explore a few flavor profiles and filling variations such as buttercream, ganache, and fruit preserves to make your macarons really stand out from the rest!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don't already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who's happier observing and assisting (or taste-testing).
Beginner-friendly. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+.
 
Handmade macarons.
 
The nature of our classes is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Drinks are not included in the ticket price; however, guests 21+ are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only).
