In this Italian cooking class in Ossining, you will learn how to make pasta from scratch. You'll learn how to make two kinds of pasta dough -- with and without eggs -- and with your choice of flour. You will then practice rolling and cutting it into various shapes such as fettuccine, cavatelli, farfalle, pappardelle, orecchiette, and strozzapreti. You'll be able to identify and translate these shapes and understand their origin stories.This workshop will also teach you how to properly pair sauces with pasta shapes. Please note that this workshop does not include a meal; you'll enjoy a small tasting of fresh pasta with the chef's featured sauce and take your fresh pasta home. We will instruct you on how to cook it and store it for future use.This beginner's cooking class is a fun way to learn new techniques and spend quality time with family, friends, or a date!
