What you'll do

If you're on the hunt for fun kids' activities in the Bay Area during the school holidays, homeschool kids join us in our Castro Valley art studio Monday -Thursday 10am-12pm.

Each student will learn how to sketch using the simple shapes and turning those shapes into dimensional shapes. Stick figures that turn into manikins and then turn into fashion figures, action heroes, characters and more. With the use of our techniques the student will learn how to construct animals of all sorts as well as background designs.
Our friendly teachers will guide them through all sorts of exciting art activities that will inspire their imagination and keep them smiling. Canvas bags, pouches, banners, backpacks, surfboards, wood hearts, flowers, unicorns, dinos and SO much more. Beginners are always welcome. Learn the fundamentals and draw like a pro at any age!

We provide all the art supplies for them to get colorful with. We have all sorts of paints, pens, pastels, papers, and more to fuel their incredible creations.

Not only do your children get to build their confidence in art, but they also have time to socialize and bond with other art lovers. It's an ideal way to make new friends as they express their creativity.

They'll take home their creations with a variety of magnificent works of art that will last a lifetime.

Artist Center was founded by Monica Higgins in 2007. She has owned and operated two art schools in California. Her industry experience includes Disney, Warner Brothers, Universal Studios, and more in all sorts of industries from, apparel to marketing. She is a professional artist and teaches all ages art industry standards and fundamentals of drawing and painting. Artists are given an opportunity to explore their skills, expand on their talents and grow to their full potential in their journey in art.
