What you'll do
This needle felting class is a must-do in San Francisco for all parents of fluffy babies and animal lovers. Get creative with your pet as inspiration and make an adorable piece of DIY home decor. No pet of your own? You will have one soon with this class!
Having a felted version of your pet is a great way to keep them close to your heart and cherish them forever. Even if your animal companion is no longer around, you can have them live on with a needle felted copy.
You'll be smoothing, prodding, and shaping wool until it forms a solid and fuzzy miniature pet! Your teacher has all the supplies you need, so just come to the studio and let your creative side take over. No experience is necessary. You'll get plenty of help from your teacher, who is full of tips and tricks when it comes to making fiber art that looks similar to your furry friends.
Get a group of pet lovers together and experience this fun activity together! It's ideal for a team-building event, a birthday party, or just a way to get your pals together for some fun in San Francisco.
By the end of this class, you'll have a fuzzy little duplicate of your dog, cat, bird, rabbit, or favorite animal. Put them together for an adorable Insta post and display it for everyone to see your handiwork.

I’m Carrie Leeb, an artist/designer/teacher/entrepreneur/Bay Area native, and I love making things. I feel most alive when I’m creating, and I want to impart this same passion for exploring, experimenting, and making to as many people as I can (like you!). Spark Studio’s a place where this happens.
As a teacher and a mentor, I’ve inspired and encouraged many adults and kids to tap into their creative side and experience the joy that goes along with creating. I believe the essence of making is learning to trust the unique inner voice that’s in each of us, combined with a lot of experimentation and play. My boss and I attended Carrie's "Needle Felting Your Pet" class as a (tiny) team building exercise and had a fabulous time. Carrie's kind, fun to chat with and very patient with first time felters like me. Her studio is airy and large enough for a team of maybe 8-10 to have plenty of room, yet didn't feel too big for just 2 students.
Carrie supplied all the materials, with high quality wool and tools, as well as helpful tips for shaping and detailing our pets. And we had the sweet company of her handsome terrier, Georgie, who happily greeted us as we arrived, then settled down for a nap when the class began. He's the very definition of a good boi!
During my ride home, I hopped online and ordered a needle felting kit so I can continue poking wool into amazing shapes!

We had a great time, and Carrie is a wonderful teacher. She made the class very fun, and she was very personable and knowledgeable about the process. The studio is really cute, and you can tell that a lot of creativity and positivity happen there!
