Ceramics Workshop: Create a Personalized Mug

Build and paint your own clay mug or tumbler in Pacifica

2 hours Class size 1 to 6 (public classes), 2 to 12 label $84

Explore your creativity and create thoughtful ceramics pieces in this pottery class in San Francisco!

No prior clay experience is required! Your instructor Jennifer will guide you through the process so you can leave with something to cherish for years to come. This relaxing workshop makes for great experience gift ideas for a creative friend or loved one.

Two methods can be used in making your drinking vessel - we can use a slab or using a pottery wheel. We will then add texture and color to the mug. Finally we will add the handle.

Your personalized handmade teacup, clear glazing and firing included. Your mug will be ready for pick-up 2-3 weeks after the class completes.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.

In 2006 I began my pottery journey with a simple class at the local community college. My first class focused on handbuilding with clay. The following class then moved to the pottery wheel and I was hooked. I continue to fine tune my craft on the pottery wheel. I primarily work with the pottery wheel making functional pieces with strong bold glazes. All my pieces are food safe and fired to cone 5/6 temperature.
