5.0 (95)Whenever I sat in my mom's kitchen growing up, she’d make dumplings while sharing memories of her own mom and grandma. I soon realized my generation was missing something important: the handmade techniques and traditions passed down through the ages. She went on to open a Chinese restaurant with my dad, where I was raised and where I learned how to make dishes featured in this class!
I'm passionate about food, cooking, and experiences, and can't wait to share with you. I’ve trained at French and Italian cooking schools, as well as locally with Chef Olivia Wu, who I’ve partnered with to teach her “Ultimate Umami” course in Half Moon Bay.

Wow! I am so glad that I took this dumpling dinner party class with my partner as an anniversary gift. The whole night was so well planned and timed out that we were never rushed nor waiting around. Eddie created a warm and welcoming environment, was extremely clear with his instruction, and provided really useful feedback. We learned things that no online recipe could have provided. Above all, the food was extremely delicious. As nerds, we also greatly appreciated all of the additional information that Eddie shared about soy sauce, umami, and mixing flavors. We look forward to continuing to make our own dumplings and carry on the knowledge that Eddie shared. It is definitely a great value!

Our son and his partner gave us this as a Christmas present, so we came with no background on Eddie. Wow! He’s a natural teacher: informative, clear, encouraging. We learned a ton and had a great time, ending with a delicious dinner.

Chef Eddie was so incredibly welcoming, and really made us feel at home right away. The class was so much fun to do, and very informative! Chef Eddie did a great job of explaining the process for making dumplings, had us practice techniques, and shared some of his knowledge about flavors, mixing flavors, and soy sauce. I feel I learned quite a bit! We ended the evening with a delicious meal of the dumplings we made, and an amazing braised dish and dessert made by Eddie. Overall, a great experience!

No joke, this was the best cooking class I've ever taken. Eddie struck a perfect balance between teaching, doing, story telling, and eating. Can't recommend this class enough, and if he ever launches the 201 edition with xiaolong bao or shengjian bao, I'll be the first one there.

Eddie did a great job from start to finish - a clear professional. We had a large group but he did a great job helping everyone individually when needed, and making sure everyone was having fun. The soy sauce tasting, and of course, the dumplings themselves were SO tasty. Thank you

I highly recommend Chef Eddie’s dumpling making class. His passion for food, kind demeanor, and patient instruction made the experience highly worthwhile and enjoyable. In the class, you not only learn how to make dumplings but learn about food history and about the making of soy sauce. It would make a great date night!

Took the class with my sister, we had a great time! Edmund is great at teaching and giving good constructive feedback. This is not one of those classes where only a few get to participate, you'll learn each an every step. Dinner was delicious! 100% recommend.

Eddie was awesome. He’s an incredible teacher - went to great length to impart some really useful info, without being tedious. He was super engaging the whole time, had everyone making some exquisite looking dumplings by the end of the night, and his recipes were amazing! I can’t say enough good things. Definitely check him out.

Eddie is welcoming and clearly an expert. He is light hearted and creates a good atmosphere to learn in.
The kitchen had the perfect amount of space for everyone to work and see his instructions. It was immaculately clean.
Eddie shared his knowledge about the origin and traditions of the ingredients we used. I loved learning about it!
The class is a good deal for the price. Dinner was delicious!
I look forward to taking more classes from Eddie in the future.

Fantastic class! Learned a lot while having fun from beginning to end and all the food was amazing. Eddie is a great and encouraging instructor. This class is a must take for anyone who’s a dumpling lover!

Eddie was a great host an instructor very hands-on. He was also very patient and showing us how to complete the dumplings and also had a nice set up where he was demonstrating on a camera and showing it on the TV so you could really see the details from all angles. We also got very full. He had a complementary chicken Breas authorized. We had as well and a dessert.

We had our team outing yesterday with Eddie, and it was everything and more! Eddie’s hospitality and knowledge about everything we did was unmatched! The intimate setting along with him making sure to tend to each person was so nice! I feel like a dumpling pro now and everything was so tasty! It was truly such a wonderful experience. If you have any hesitation about taking Eddie’s class, trust me when I say you are missing out if you don’t! Since we had such a great time, now we are talking about trying out his pasta making class!

Eric was absolutely wonderful. He was made the soy sauce tasting and dumpling making so much fun (and he's pretty funny too!). The organization of the entire course from beginning to end was really well put together. I personally preferred this over cooking in a a kitchen studio because it's a lot more intimate. So if you have a group of 10 or less, I high recommend doing this versus other studio options!

Eddie was energetic, patient, and extremely friendly! He is also an excellent teacher because he sprinkles in individualized, constructive feedback between hands-on demonstrations. He provides everything you need for the class. All you need to bring is enthusiasm and a desire to have fun! I learned about the process of making dumplings, how alterations at each step would change the final flavor profile, the differences in flavor between soy sauces, and so much more! Eddie’s personality was my favorite part of the class by far. I highly recommend taking this class if you can.

Would 10/10 recommend. Eddie was an informative and patient teacher, the elements of the class were really interesting—especially the soy sauce tasting. And of course, the food was excellent. Will definitely be trying to make dumplings at home now!

Such a fun class Eddie was a terrific host and a natural instructor. He taught us every part of the dumpling making process in a way that was super easy to understand and they turned out deliciously. This even included making and rolling out the dumpling skins from scratch which we were really interested in doing when looking for classes like this. I highly recommend taking this class, it’s fun and a good value for everything you learn. Plus the meal at the end is super satisfying!
