What you'll do

Take old or thrift-store glasses, lamp fixtures, plates, or vases and transform them into stunning works of art. This hands-on class will show you how to use Gesso and alcohol inks to reinvent and reimagine new functional centerpieces.

Alexandra Kitty is an artist and author of nineteen books, including the award-winning The Art of Kintsugi: Learning the Japanese craft of beautiful repair.

She taught Language Studies at Mohawk College, writing at the Sheridan Institute, Metalwork Arts at Niagara College and Kintsugi and Lampworking at the Dundas Valley School of Art.
She has her certificate for Higher Teaching and Learning from Harvard with a 99.1% final mark, and has taken short courses in Art History from Oxford University.

She also loves to create art! Her specialities including Kintsugi, alcohol inks, encaustics, metalworking, and jewelry-making.
