Are you on the hunt for some fun things to do at home? Watercolor painting can be a great way to add washes of color to your life as you free your creative side.

Painting is a mindful process where you carve time out of your day to just get lost in the process, feel a sense of achievement, and often surprise yourself with your creative abilities.

It's quick to set up, easy to clean up, and very portable, making it the ideal DIY craft wherever you are (at your kitchen table or on your holidays).

Guided by your expert teacher, you'll learn some great new watercolor techniques and you'll soon be lost in the process of putting paint to canvas. You'll explore the basics of color theory (how to mix paints to create different colors), you'll discover some of the technical terms used in the craft, and you'll be shown how to hold your paintbrush to achieve great results.

Because this is a pre-recorded online class, you can stop and recap over details, hints, or tips at any time - making it ideal for beginners. This gives you the opportunity to paint at your own leisurely pace without missing any of the information or demonstrations.

After this watercolor painting for beginners tutorial, you'll have painted your own cute fluffy duckling, which you can look at whenever you need a little calm in your life or a reminder of your newfound painting skills.

Hi, my name is Kirstie Trobe and I'm a professional Artist and Art Tutor.
I've exhibited my work nationally at the Royal Society of Artists Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, Broadway Arts Festival Open Arts Competition and locally.

After Art College, I worked professionally as a Graphic Designer before starting a family and raising 6 children. Once my children were old enough I was lucky enough to be able to pursue my life long interest in art again by attending life drawing and watercolour classes, much like these ClassBento classes.

From that, I was then offered the opportunity to teach watercolour classes and become a guest tutor in life drawing and portraiture classes. From there I also started my own independent classes before establishing my own studio where I've been running beginners and intermediate watercolour classes in person, and online, as well as figure drawing and portraiture online.
