What you'll do
Learn how to sculpt alongside fellow local artists in this ceramics course in Austin! In this weekly learning club, you will learn new skills, gain inspiration from fellow artists, and share your knowledge with them too.
Grow your sculpture skills by working alongside Mary Helen as she shares what she has learned about the art form so far. Create works of art using coils, slabs, molds, and more, and see your imagination come to life during weekly sessions.
This class is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a beginner looking to learn hand building basics and essential sculpting techniques or an experienced ceramicist who could use extra support in creating the sculptures of their dreams. This is a friendly and supportive environment and a fantastic way to meet other creatives or spend quality time learning something new with friends.
Weekly clubs will take place at Mary Helen’s home studio, Kiln Club HQ, in Southwest Austin near Brodie and William Cannon (the exact address will be shared after signup).

Beginner-friendly. No previous ceramics experience needed!
What you'll get

- Access to studio tools, equipment, and studio glazes.
- Firing for pieces made during club sessions.
- 25 lbs. of clay per 4-week session. Additional clay may be purchased separately.

Mary Helen McNally is a working artist and art/STEAM instructor living in Austin, Texas. M.H. Is the founder of ATX Kiln Club, a community pottery group in south Austin that provides education and firing services to local artists and makers. M.H. also works as an instructor at local pottery studios and at the children’s art school, Figment Creative Labs.
